Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, a representative from our team will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in the historic center. Use the morning to rest and slowly acclimate to the altitude of Cusco (3,400 m / 11,155 ft). In the afternoon, around 1:00 pm, we’ll begin the Cusco City Tour, starting with a visit to the Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun, which showcases a blend of Inca and colonial architecture.
We then continue to the outskirts of the city to explore the impressive Sacsayhuamán Fortress, known for its massive stone walls. The tour continues with visits to Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, each offering unique insight into the Inca Empire. Return to your hotel in the early evening to relax and prepare for the next day.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour – Overnight in Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, we depart around 7:30 am for a full-day exploration of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop is at the Pisac Archaeological Site, offering spectacular views of agricultural terraces and the Vilcanota River. After exploring, visit the Pisac Market, known for its handicrafts and souvenirs.
We then travel through scenic Andean landscapes to Urubamba, where you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch featuring local and international dishes. In the afternoon, we visit the impressive Ollantaytambo Fortress, a well-preserved Inca military, agricultural, and religious center. After the guided tour, board the train to Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and receive a briefing for the next day’s visit to the lost city of the Incas.
Day 3: Machu Picchu Full-Day Tour – Return to Cusco
Start the day early with breakfast at your hotel, followed by a 25-minute bus ride up to Machu Picchu.
